Iron Chef Detroit

Introducing the inaugural Iron Chef Detroit competition at Eastern Market Shed 5 on Thursday, June 13, 2024. The event will be a matchup between Anthony Lombardo, Executive Chef at SheWolf and Shanel DeWalt, Culinary Director of Make Food Not Waste.

Our 2024 will be hosted by iconic Detroit media personality Jay Towers, host of WNIC’s Jay Towers in the Morning and Fox 2 Detroit news anchor. Joining the commentary team will be Fox 2 Detroit’s Alan Longstreet and Detroit food influencer Carlos Parisi.

Judging the culinary competition will be a lauded collection of chefs and experts, including: Detroit Free Press dining & restaurant critic Lyndsay C. Green, Chef-owner of the James Beard-nominated Saffron De Twah Omar Anani, Documentary filmmaker & former restaurant critic Mark Kurlyandchik and Detroit News restaurant critic & reporter Melody Baetens. 

Guests will enjoy food and drink from some of your favorite restaurants in Detroit and the suburbs.
