Throughout the seasons, there are occasions that call for extra markets. Our specialty markets are the perfect way to spend your holidays and find special items when they reach their peak of the season.
Flower Tuesday Market
Every Tuesday in May, flower and plant vendors will be located in Sheds 5 & 6, where shoppers can experience a less crowded market day for exclusive flower shopping.
You can also find flower vendors in Shed 6 every day from Mother’s Day until Father’s Day from sunrise to sunset.

Holiday Markets
Each year we offer special markets in November and December to encourage giving to local nonprofit organizations and give you a chance to find great gifts for your family and friends. There are special markets for the harvest season and others specific to the holiday season where you can pick out your family’s perfect Christmas tree.
The Tuesday market dates are primarily focused on food vendors and are a perfect place to find ingredients for your holiday meals! The Sunday & Thursday dates feature plenty of Michigan-made gift options including clothing, art, jewelry, beauty products, and more.

Flower Day
Flower Day takes place every year on the Sunday after Mother’s Day and has been a time-honored tradition of Eastern Market since 1967. Growers offer a wide variety of flowers at a great value so we recommend you come early for the best selection!
This special day is made possible through our partnership with the Metropolitan Detroit Flower Growers Association. MDFGA members arrive every year from Michigan, Ontario, and neighboring states. They share 15 acres of the heartiest varieties of flowers for this region and they’re ready to share the best strategies of how to help their flora thrive.
We also offer free convenient parcel pickups so you can explore the market throughout the day without being attached to your flats of flowers.

Shop Eastern Market Online
You can now pre-order from our vendors online! Place your order from Monday – Wednesday and drive through on Saturday for contract-free pick-up. You can get Farm Boxes, eggs, meat, prepared foods, desserts, & more. Bridge Card shoppers can use their EBT dollars online as well!
Welcome Center Hours
Stop in to ask a question, get maps and recipes, or present your Bridge Card to receive tokens accepted at many vendors under the sheds.
