DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the Year of the Horse at Eastern Market Shed 5 on February 22\, 2026\nDetroit\, MI — The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is proud to announce that it will host its Annual Lunar New Year Community Fair celebrating the Year of the Horse on Sunday\, February 22\, 2026\, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Eastern Market Shed 5 in Detroit. \nThis free\, family-friendly community celebration brings together diverse Asian and multicultural communities to welcome the Lunar New Year through food\, cultural performances\, traditional customs\, and community engagement. Designed as an open\, stroll-style market experience\, the fair invites visitors of all backgrounds to celebrate the holiday together in a joyful and inclusive setting. \n“Lunar New Year is about renewal\, hope\, and shared prosperity\,” said Peggy Du\, Executive Director of the Association of Chinese Americans. “By hosting this community fair at Eastern Market\, ACA continues its long-standing tradition of creating a welcoming space where cultures connect\, neighbors meet\, and traditions are shared across generations.” \nThe 2026 Lunar New Year Community Fair will feature: \n\nCultural performances from Asian and community groups\nFood vendors and community booths\nInteractive activities and family-friendly programming\nOpportunities to learn about Lunar New Year traditions and symbolism\n\nACA is currently accepting applications for: \n\nEvent Sponsors\nClick to Apply Food and Community Vendors\nClick to Apply Cultural Performers and Performance Groups\n\nBusinesses\, organizations\, and artists interested in participating are encouraged to apply early\, as space is limited.
