Preservation Detroit Eastern Market Tours
This historical walking tour allows you to journey back to the days of the Underground Railroad, horse-drawn carriages, rumrunners, graveyards, breweries and prisons.
Feet on the Street Tours
Feet on the Street strolling brunch tours give you an insider's view of Eastern Market, how it works, our behind-the-scenes stories and plans we have for the future. Along the way, our vendors share samples of their tasty goods!
Urban Agriculture Bike Tours by Wheelhouse Detroit
Wheelhouse Detroit Bike Shop’s tour will allow you to follow your food from farm to fork. Explore our local food system, engage with local farms and travel the route the food takes to where it reaches your plate.

Eastern Market Partnership offers much more than our popular Saturday market days. We work to shepherd the growth of food and agriculture businesses year round. We are a champion of great partnerships including entrepreneurship programs, endeavors to increase food access, and nutrition education. Dequindre Cut
The Dequindre Cut is now fully connected with the completion of the Detroit Link. Built on the site of the old Grand Trunk Railroad line, the 1.35-mile greenway is perfect for walking, biking, exercising, discovering artwork and enjoying our beautiful city. It connects all the way from the Riverfront to Eastern Market to Hamtramck! The Link Detroit project is made possible through a partnership between the City of Detroit, Eastern Market Partnership, Midtown Inc., and our wonderful foundation and State of Michigan partners.
Gratiot Central Market
Gratiot Central Market’s specialty is a wide array of meat choices including beef tongue, oxtail, homemade sausages, goat, lamb, crab, lobster, salmon, and many more! The market also includes a local wine and cheese shop, various restaurants, and a health food supplement store just a short distance from Eastern Market.

Detroit Community Markets are neighborhood locations where you can buy fresh, affordable, and locally produced food. This network is made up of farmers' markets, farm stands, mobile trucks, and food box programs. These markets seek to improve neighborhoods, support local growers, and create public spaces where residents can come together.

Farm Stands
As important as it is to fill our market with the freshest fruits and vegetables, it may be even more important to bring them to communities with little access to wholesome foods. Since 2009, we have established pop-up mobile markets in many Detroit-area locations to create a healthier Southeastern Michigan.
Eastern Market Farm Stand proudly accepts cash, credit/debit, SNAP Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project FRESH, and Senior Market Fresh.
Tasting Stations
We’ve partnered with several Detroit-based independent grocery stores to promote increased produce consumption and healthy lifestyles. Most “Tasting Stations” are set up inside grocery stores near the produce department to promote healthy eating through the distribution of samples and recipe cards. We also help connect grocery store stores with our Wholesale Market.

Urban Ag Produce Share Assembly Team
Are you passionate about local food production and community welfare? Join us as a Produce Share Packing Employee and help feed the Detroit community! We are seeking individuals with a strong interest in supporting local food systems to assist in packing CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares for distribution to food-insecure families.
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, May through November.
Facilities Supervisor
The Facilities Supervisor, who reports to the Facilities Director, will provide hands-on operational leadership for the Eastern Market Campus, buildings, and systems, and is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and good repair of the market campus’s systems.
The Facilities Supervisor opportunity is a full-time position requiring a minimum 40 hour per week commitment and is expected to spend most of their time directly assessing the facility, coordinating, and overseeing staff, and repairing the facility.
Shop Eastern Market Online
You can now pre-order from our vendors online! Place your order from Monday - Wednesday and drive through on Saturday for contract-free pick-up. You can get Farm Boxes, eggs, meat, prepared foods, desserts, & more. Bridge Card shoppers can use their EBT dollars online as well!

Stop in to ask a question, get maps and recipes, or present your Bridge Card to receive tokens accepted at many vendors under the sheds.
